When is the Tanger Deer Park Ice Rink open?
The Tanger Deer Park Ice Rink is open daily beginning in late November. Watch our homepage for the latest information.
Monday – Thursday --- 3pm – 5:30pm & 6pm – 9pm
Friday --- 3pm – 5:30pm & 6pm – 10pm
Saturday ---11am – 2pm & 2:30pm – 5:30pm & 6pm – 10pm
Sunday ---11am – 2pm & 2:30pm – 5:30pm & 6pm – 10pm
We ask our skaters to leave the ice at the end of each session to resurface the ice.
Extended Holiday Hours can be found here. We offer holiday hours for Thanksgiving, Winter Break, Martin Luther King Jr. Day and Mid-Winter Break in February.
Is the Tanger Deer Park Ice Rink still open if it rains or snows or we experience excessively warm temperatures (40+ degree temperatures)?
We will make every attempt to have the Rink open every day. In the case of persistent rain, a heavy snowstorm or warm temperatures, we may have a delayed open or need to close the Rink if conditions are unsafe. What is the address to Tanger Deer Park Ice Rink ? Is parking available?
Tanger Ice Rink is centrally located within Tanger Outlets at 152 The Arches Circle, Deer Park, NY 11729 and is close to mall parking areas. Get directions here.
What size skates do you have available?
We have both hockey and figure skates and sizes range from Toddler 9 to Adult 14.
What should we bring?
We suggest bringing multiple pairs of socks, or one pair of thick, warm socks. We also recommend wearing a pair of gloves or mittens while skating. The rink has gloves and socks for sale for $4 each.
How much does it cost to skate?
Admission is valid during the skating session that it is purchased in.
Do you have skate aids to help beginner skaters?
The venue has Skate Aids available for $10. Skate Aids are available on a first come, first serve basis – we do not accept reservations. You will be required to leave your Driver’s License to “secure” the rental and the rental is for ½ hour.
Are helmets available to rent?
Yes, helmets are available for $5 and one size fits most skaters.
Does the Rink have any weekly specials or events?
Yes, we offer:
Cheap Skate on Mondays (6-9pm) – Free Skate Rental
2 for 1 on Tuesdays (6-9pm) – BOGO Admission
School Days on Wednesdays (6-9pm) – Free Skate Rental with School ID
College Night on Thursdays (6-9pm) - $2 off with valid College ID
Rock the Rink on Fridays (6-9pm) – Live DJ
Do you offer discounts for large groups?
We offer a group rate of $12 per person including skate rental for groups of 10 or more, but please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org so we can alert our staff of your group. Please include your preferred date and time and number of skaters.
Are there birthday party packages available?
The Rink does not offer specific party packages, however, our guests may coordinate a group visit (see above for group skating info) before or after hosting a party at one of our Tanger Outlets’ neighbors. A full list of restaurants and stores can be found here.
What type of payment does the Tanger Deer Park Ice Rink accept?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover, Apple Pay as well as cash.
Does Tanger Deer Park Ice Rink offer FUNdraisers?
- Book your event any Monday through Thursday
- Your guests receive a discounted admission and skate rental rate of $12. For every FUNdraiser admission, your organization receives $4!
- Spread the word about your FUNdraiser
- Your guests let our cashiers know they are with your FUNdraiser
- We review the event sales and send you a check

Do you offer Skating Lessons?
We do not offer skating lessons.
Can we rent Tanger Deer Park Ice Rink for a private event?
Yes. You can reserve the Rink outside of normal business hours to host private events and parties. The Rink will provide the venue as well as house music for your event. The cost is $250 per hour for up to 20 skaters. Please contact email@example.com to book your private event!
Is there a place to lock our items up while skating?
Yes, the Tanger Outlets has lockers available for a fee of $1 in the mall to secure items.
Can we bring our own food & beverages?
Yes, we allow food and drinks (non-alcoholic) in the waiting area that has been purchased from a mall restaurant. Food and beverages are not allowed on the ice. There are also a number of restaurants near the rink that you can go to for a warm beverage or meal. You can view the full list here.
Are tables available at the rink?
There are no tables in the area around the rink, however, there are benches available throughout the courtyard area.
Does the Rink sell gift certificates?
Yes, we offer gift certificates. Please contact the rink at firstname.lastname@example.org or (631) 940-9749 for more information.
Does the rink offer skate sharpening?
Yes, we offer skate sharpening during public skating hours for a $10 per pair of skates. Please be aware there may be a wait for sharpening on weekends and holidays.
Are we allowed to walk or take strollers, etc, onto the ice?
No, only guests wearing skates are allowed on the ice.
Does the Rink have a Lost and Found?
For lost and found, please call (631-940-9749) or visit the rink during public skating hours.
Do we have to sign a waiver?
Every skater must put on a wristband waiving liability before taking the ice. Wristband language reads as:
Assumption of Risk and Release. I am aware that ice skating involves inherent risks, dangers and hazards which can result in serious personal injury or death. I hereby freely assume and accept any and all known and unknown risks of injury while skating at this ice rink and release owner, its management company, sponsors, their affiliates, subsidiaries, successors and assigns from any liability whatsoever for bodily injury or property damage resulting from any negligent acts and omissions in the design, operation, supervision and maintenance of the ice rink. By wearing this wristband, I am agreeing to be bound by its terms.
